How might we help new Figma users feel confident and self-sufficient by reducing their dependence on online tutorials, cutting learning time in half, and keeping their motivation high?
This was a solo project.

Case study
This project was part of an Amazon-Sponsored Externship mentored by Amazon's UX Researcher, Monica Chan. I worked alongside 6 more UX designers under Monica's guidance to successfully execute this project in 16 weeks.
The following is a simplified version of the case study for a Quick Glance. It briefly takes you through the pain points, important insights, and the final solution.
Context
New Figma users struggle to learn the software on their own, often relying on online videos and AI, but they waste valuable time searching for the right tutorials and still fail to find suitable solutions when they get stuck. This demotivates them and also affects their other work for the day.
